Year 1 have been immersed in all things autumn this week! We went on an autumn hunt in the playground searching for signs of the changing seasons. This inspired some beautiful autumn poems and allowed us to use our knowledge of adjectives to perfectly describe what autumn is to us. Our autumn theme also crept into our phonics learning, using conkers to sort our sounds! In maths, we have been working on finding one more and one less using counters, number tracks and even Lego blocks. They've had a fantastic week this week and we can't wait to continue our under the sea topic!
