Year 5 - Liquid Nitrogen

Year 5 have had a great week this week using our History knowledge in our Literacy lessons to research and plan our non-chronological reports about life in Viking Britain. It has been great to see some of the information we learnt in our Viking workshop last week being used in our planning too.
We also had a wonderful time on Monday with a group of Year 10 students from Badminton School who gave us a Liquid Nitrogen workshop. Did you know that liquid nitrogen boils at a −195.8 °C? We loved learning that we could tickle flowers to shed their petals, deflate a balloon and ring a bell with a banana all with the help of liquid nitrogen.
