Message from Mr Oldfield
Dear Parents and Carers,
Easter Service
With the sun shining this week, it has definitely felt like spring has finally arrived and I am sure that we all welcome the warmer weather. There was certainly a ‘spring’ in the step of our children as we visited Christ Church for our Easter celebration this Thursday. The children showed that their hard work preparing their performance pieces certainly paid off and we were all hugely impressed at their ability to recite poetry, sing beautifully and all without a hitch. Year five narrated the day telling the story of Easter and helping us to share in the message of hope, renewal, love and forgiveness.
Worship Council Prayer for Easter:
Easter time is here again
Let’s all cheer and sing!
The sun is shining, skies are blue,
And birds are on the wing.
We celebrate with joy and praise
For Jesus rose today.
He brings us love and peace and hope,
In a very special way.
So let us shout Hooray! Hooray!
For Jesus our Lord and friend,
He lives again on Easter day
His love will never end.

Easter Egg Hunt & Raffle
Thank you to everyone who was able to support our Easter Egg Hunt and raffle and helped to raise some funds for our year 6 children to take part in their end of year activities in the summer term.
Value of the Week – Responsibility
In our whole school collective worship, Mrs. Richardson continued our focus on the value of responsibility by sharing the story Words and Your Heart, by Kate Jane Neal. Through this thoughtful story, we explored the power of words and how important it is to be responsible for the way we speak to others. We took time to reflect on how our words can uplift and encourage, but also how they can hurt if we’re not careful.
End of Term Awards
Values Ambassador – Progress Award – Determination Award
Our Friday Celebration assembly was a lovely end to the term. As always this is a time to recognise all of the children and the efforts, progress and successes they have achieved. For some of our awards winners, we were immensely proud to see them receive these three prestigious awards and to hear the reasons why they have been chosen from their teachers and adults. Well done children!
Uniform and Footwear
Thank you for supporting our work to ensure that we keep our high standards of uniform throughout the year. We would ask respectfully to please ensure that all children return to school with the correct uniform, especially footwear.
Once again, I wish you all a wonderful Easter break to come and look forward to welcoming the children back on Tuesday 22nd April.
Kind regards
Mark Oldfield
