Our rich arts curriculum has been developed to grow our pupil’s skills, confidence and engagement in art and our bi-annual Arts Week is always a highlight of the school calendar. The impact on pupil’s participation and enjoyment in learning is evident in pupil’s outcomes during the week, pupil voice, parental feedback and pupil’s enormous pride in their achievements. Art Week themes are chosen carefully to link with the wider curriculum; previous Arts Weeks titles include ‘Wildlife S.O.S’, ‘Take One Picture’ and ‘Our Beautiful Blue Planet’.
We recognise the importance of promoting our artwork within the local community and we create an exhibition of our outcomes of our Arts Week in the West Bristol Arts Trail. Our comments book is a record of the high praise given from our community and wider public.
Arts Trail October 2021 - Bristol at the Heart of our Art
We are so lucky to live in the heart of Bristol, a city which brims with art, architecture, music and performance. We will be studying our city and the artists who capture it to inspire our own artwork for the Arts Trail.
We are delighted to be participating again in the bi-annual North West Bristol Arts trail and look forward to welcoming you to our exhibition over the weekend of Sat 16th & Sun 17th October 11am-4pm in our school halls. Take some time to stop, browse amongst the artwork, enjoy a cake and coffee and let your children also be inspired by participating in an arts workshop that we will be running for pre-school children (under 5s).
