Netball

We aim to provide our children with the opportunity to enhance their skills while developing a passion for the sport. We provide high quality, streamlined lessons; enabling pupils to improve their skill development throughout their time in Key Stage 2. For one term throughout the year, children in KS2 will take part in one hour of netball coaching each week. Children are taught the rules for both 7-a-side and High 5 netball matches.

We run a netball club throughout the year for our year 5/6 children which take place one morning a week – before the beginning of school. This is a voluntary club which we have a high uptake for all year round. Our commitment to the sport allows us to be competitive in the wide range of competitions which we take part in. As well as taking part in the Ashton Park School Sports Partnership (APSSP) League, we also arrange fixtures with local schools throughout the year. We regularly secure either Silver or Gold place in the APSSP Netball League, allowing us to represent Bristol in the regional final at the end of the academic year.
